Sustainability - Next Meeting

If the Open Space includes Action Planning, a Next Meeting needs to take place 12 – 18 weeks after the Open Space. It takes half a day.

The objectives are:

• Participants from the Open Space and those that have joined projects/actions after the event get to see each other
• They inform each other about what happened in the projects since the Open Space
• They can plan further steps for the existing actions/projects 
• They can convene & plan further actions/projects
• People who could not participate in the Open Space can be integrated into the process

If Action Planning is part of the event, it has proven supportive to plan the date and place of the Next Meeting at the Planning Meeting for the Open Space and to put this information into the invitation to the Open Space event.
The Next Meeting can also be planned at the Open Space itself.
In both cases, this will be a clear signal for a sustained approach.

A separate invitation to the Next Meeting including a process for registration is issued to all participants after the Open Space event.
